COME ALONG TO OUR BTEC OPEN EVENING AND JOIN NOW!

Crawley Town FC has started recruitment of prospective students for the BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport and u19s Academy programme for 2019-20, with an Open Evening planned on Monday 3rd December from 6:30 pm – 7:30pm at Crawley Town FC’s Broadfield Stadium.

Boys and girls aged 16 – 19 year’s old can study the BTEC Level 2 – 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and represent Crawley Town FC u19s as part of the 11-a-side National Youth League Programme playing against Premier League and Football League clubs.

The programme is delivered by Crawley Town FC teaching staff in partnership with Holy Trinity Sixth Form, where students have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst being a part of an extensive football programme.

Pupils will complete the full-time education programme through either a BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Sport (Equivalent to 4-GCSE’s) or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Equivalent to 3 A-Levels), with the support and guidance of our fully qualified staff.

The academic side of the programme provides students with the skills and knowledge required to help them progress to a higher standard of education. It also gives them the necessary experience to create a career pathway in football coaching, to work in the leisure or sports industry, go on to University or a scholarship in USA, or possibly even a career in pro/semi-pro football with routes into the Crawley Town FC u23s as a progression route.

Based at Broadfield Stadium allows direct links to the first team, including first team physios, coaching team and sport scientists, making the course a unique and practical real-life learning experience.

For those who are keen to pursue a career in football coaching, we provide the FA Level 1 Coaching Badge, Emergency First Aid Certificate and a grounding in safeguarding practice.

For those with coaching potential or aspirations to become a coach, there are opportunities to be a paid community coach working for the Community Foundation.

We currently have two teams play in the National Football Youth League, which is exclusively for Premier League and English Football League clubs. The league is demanding and of a high standard. Training is conducted daily with a focus on strength and conditioning, nutrition, technical/tactical development and video match analysis. For anyone who excels there are opportunities to train and even gain a contract with Crawley Town FC first team.

The Crawley Town FC BTEC Level 2 – 3 Extended Diploma in Sport is a fantastic opportunity for any young person aspiring to enter the sports profession.

The Open Evening on Monday 3rd December (6:30 pm – 7:30pm) gives parents and those interested a chance to watch the presentation and ask questions about the course. This also gives the potential new students a chance to meet our teaching and coaching staff.

If you are interested in attending the Open Evening or would like more information about the course, contact us today – via email: education@crawleytownfc.com or go to our website http://www.ctcommunityfoundation.com to find out more about the BTEC course.
