Welcome back to Saturday football at Crawley Town in 2019

We are back for another year of Saturday football here at Crawley Town.

We want to tell you about what we have on offer for the term bookings this year.

If your child is looking to pursue more football, after the Christmas break or even after our recent Christmas Soccer School, do not worry as we have many sessions that run throughout the week.

Every Saturday morning from 9am-10am at the People’s Pension Stadium, we run Mini Reds, a programme tailored to those young people under the age of 6 to kick the ball around and learn the basics of football.

This session is an opportunity for young people to get into football, learn some new skills and make new friends of similar ages.

As a part of this session, we provide an opportunity for parents to interact with their children and the football.

Children can practice what they have learnt with parents/guardians accompanying them, giving the learners an opportunity to share their football skills in what is a fun element of the session.

Kayleigh Bowers, Football and Sports Development Co-ordinator said, “The sessions comprise of a Warm Up, a Ball Skills Section, Parent Participation Section (helping your children with a variety of different controls and techniques), Shooting, Passing or Dribbling Zones, and finally a Match Zone to put together everything that has been learnt into a game situation!

Our FA qualified coaches are experienced in coaching this age group and appreciate the importance of empathy and guidance with younger players, many of whom will be experiencing coaching for the very first time. This session is ultimately about fun, getting the children started on their footballing journey, and enjoying playing football!”

Saturday Soccer Centre delivers sessions to improve a child’s game whilst they are having fun. These Soccer Centres run from 10.30am-12pm for pupils aged 7 – 12 and is a fantastic opportunity to develop key skills, both technically and socially.

Both Mini Reds and the Soccer Centre are important starting points for children on their footballing journey, helping with their development and progress through the early learning stages of their life with the help of our FA qualified coaching staff.

As a starting point and entry level into our football progression pathway, both Mini reds and the Soccer Centre provide progression routes into our invitation-only Development and Elite Centres, which can help to boost your child’s skills and to continue to climb the progression ladder.

So, what is the fantastic offer we have for Saturday football in the New Year?

If you book before 5th January 2018 for a term, you get 2 sessions completely FREE.

This means you can pay upfront and not have to worry about what activities you can find on the weekend or when you have to pay each week.

Alternately, bookings can be made at any time.
