Talent ID Centres are back at Crawley Town!

Does your child play for a Grassroots team? Do they need an extra challenge?

Crawley Town Community Foundation deliver Talent ID Centres at The People’s Pension Stadium, RH11 9RX. Providing like-minded players to join forces to challenge themselves and strive towards further development of their existing skills and also gain new skills.

The Talent ID Centre programme forms part of our Player Pathway at Crawley Town FC and sessions are designed for both girls and boys aged 6 - 12 years old, who currently play for local grassroots clubs. Our coaches are FA Qualified, with experience of supporting players towards reaching their full potential, with our philosophy emphasis on the development of technique and skills, within a structured and supportive environment.

Those attending the Talent ID Centres, receive priority for progression into our Youth Development squads – the next step on our Player Pathway.

Ian Cobbett, Football Pathway Co-ordinator said this about the session, “Our Talent ID Centre has grown exponentially in a season. We have had players move into our Development & Elite programmes whilst helping them grow for their grass roots club.

We provide a technical base within our session and push them physically whilst letting the players make their own decisions. Creating an independence with how they play”.

Richard Gallagher, Manager of Lingfield Youth FC U11s and participant parent said this about Talent ID, “Crawley Town’s Talent ID on a Friday night is a fantastic way to develop your player.

Many of my squad have been along and loved every minute. They not only keep it fun but the kids learn lots of new skills and new ideas.

Last year, my son Stefan started going to Crawley’s Talent ID centre on Friday nights. He loved learning new skills and meeting the great coaching staff. Going to the talent ID centre really got Stefan believing in himself and developed him very quickly.

After a few months, Bradley his coach, suggested he trialled for the Crawley Development squad. Stefan managed to get into the squad and is really blossoming as a player. I would highly recommend both the Talent ID centre and Crawley Development squad.”

Sessions run every Friday 5pm to 6pm on the 3G Ball Court behind the People’s Pension Stadium, opposite the Redz Bar.

All equipment will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and after each session, with access to hand sanitiser at the beginning and the end of the session.
