On Friday 10th December, in partnership with Crawley Wellbeing, the Crawley Town Community Foundation will be offering free health checks to those aged 55+, at The People’s Pension Stadium from 11.30am to 1.00pm.
Lifestyle areas covered include weight management, nutrition and physical activity, alcohol consumption, smoking cessation, sleep, low-level emotional wellbeing and general lifestyle advice.
The team from Crawley Wellbeing will be available to provide one to one conversations with anyone attending on the day to discuss any aspect of physical and mental wellbeing, as well as staff from the Foundation being on hand to provide additional support and discuss programmes being offered by the Foundation to those aged 55+.
Darren Ford, Head of Foundation commented on the forthcoming session, “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Crawley Wellbeing, where in the past over 50% of those receiving a health check have been referred onto other services for further support. Being able to access the heath checks within the stadium, provides a different environment and helps people to be a bit more relaxed. For some, having a health check may not be high on their personal agenda, but with physical and mental wellbeing being high on the agenda, we hope to be able to make a difference to people’s lives.”
The health checks will be offered on a first come first served basis on 10th December and we look forward to seeing you on the day.
Refreshments will be available, along with welcoming staff ready to support everyone attending.
