Foundation Launches Sporting Memories.

On Thursday 13th January, in partnership with Sussex Cricket Foundation and Crawley Borough Council, we launched Crawley Sporting Memories.

Hosted at Crawley Museum every Thursday, these weekly clubs are aimed at anyone over the age of 50 who love to reminisce about either playing or watching sport.

Sporting Memories Clubs are welcoming, friendly and free to attend with sessions offering people the chance to get together with like-minded people, make new friends and have fun.

We believe these community clubs are so important and it is wonderful to have this on offer again in Crawley.

We are pleased to have this opportunity to launch this new and exciting programme in partnership with Crawley Borough Council as part of Dementia Friendly Crawley for the Sporting Memories which will allow participants to walk through Crawley’s history and reminisce about more than just sport.

The launch day was a great success, bringing participants to the central location of the Crawley Museum, the participants shared some fantastic stories and reminiscing about different key dates in the sporting world.

If you are interested or know someone who would benefit from this memory-based session, come along and join us at Crawley Museum every Thursday from 10-11.30am – we look forward to hearing all about your Sporting Memories whether it be participating or watching sports.

For more information or to sign up to the session please email – community@crawleytownfc.com
