As the new season approaches for our Education Academy, we've recruited 18 new players, with offers out to a further 3. The programme has space for up to 25 new players to join the programme if they're looking for a career in football/sport, and have experience of playing football at a local level.
Pre-season commences on the 19th July, for 8 weeks, with the focus on strength & conditioning, playing philosophy and ideologies used by the first team, before they jump straight into the Education year and the 2021/22 season.
The weeks will be as follows -
· Week One (19th -23rd July) – Base Level Fitness Training for players attended in small groups throughout the week. This week will be based at The People’s Pension Stadium (Crawley RH11 9RX).
· Week Two (26th – 31st July) – Team Building & Physical Conditioning. Where players will attend four sessions throughout the week at Holy Trinity Sixth Form (Grass/Indoor).
· Week Three (2nd – 6th August) – Physical Conditioning. Where players will attend four sessions throughout the week at Holy Trinity Sixth Form (Grass/Indoor).
· Week Four to Six (9th – 13th, 16th – 20th & 23rd – 27th August) – Physical Conditioning and Tactical Development. Where players will attend three sessions and play a game each week at Holy Trinity Sixth Form (Grass/Indoor).
· Week 7 (30th August – 3rd September) – Induction Week and Pre-season training. Where players will attend a full timetable week, split between The People’s Pension Stadium & Holy Trinity Sixth Form.
· Week 8 (6th – 10th September) – Practical Education & First week of the season. Where players will attend a full timetable week, split between The People’s Pension Stadium & Holy Trinity Sixth Form.
As part of pre-season week, the players will be taking part in 8 Friendlies before the 2021/22 season begins, these will be played against:
· Sutton Common Rovers (11/8/21 AWAY)
· Shoreham FC (13/8/21 AWAY)
· Horsham FC (17/8/21 AWAY)
· Broadbridge Heath FC (20/8/21 AWAY)
· MET Police FC (25/8/21 AWAY)
· Steyning Town CFC (27/8/21 AWAY)
· Dorking Wanderers (1/9/21 HOME)
· Dorking Wanderers (3/9/21 HOME)
