When Crawley Town Community Foundation was announced as the Ignition EFL Community Club for the South East 2020 at the beginning of March, nobody anticipated what the future months would entail. With Government restrictions begin to ease and confirmation of the continuation of support for the PE Sport Premium, it is time to look ahead to see what we can do to help the community moving forward.
This summer we have teamed up with Crawley Borough Council’s Play Service and the Sussex Cricket Foundation in offering fun-packed activity sessions at Cherry Lane and Millpond Adventure Playgrounds.
These sessions are suitable for children aged 5-12 years and will run from 10.30am to 1pm & 2pm to 4.30pm. These sessions include a variety of activities ranging from football, multi skills, cricket, play and arts and crafts. Each session costs £1 per child, per session.
The sessions will be running from Monday to Friday throughout August –
· Week 1 (3 August) – Cherry Lane
· Week 2 (10 August) – Millpond
· Week 3 (17 August) – Cherry Lane
· Week 4 (24 August) – Millpond
Football and Sports Development Manager, Kayleigh Bowers, had this to say about this summer collaboration, ““We are excited to work with local partners to get this programme off the ground!
It is an excellent opportunity to give local children the opportunity to get out of the house and learn new skills and make new friends.”

We will continue to help and support the community as much as we can in this time of crisis.
